A man raised someone else’s child with cerebral palsy as his own.

There are many ways to become parents. You don’t have to have a biological connection to your child to love him as your own. Life often surprises, and it happens that you become a parent completely unexpectedly, as in our article. This story began about 25 years ago, when Costa opened the door and found his girlfriend and child there. So the guy became a father . But everything is much more interesting than it might seem at first glance.

Mother left and never returned

Our hero Kosta found out about his girlfriend’s pregnancy when she was in her fifth month. However, he had an inner feeling that this child was not his . “We were together, but she [the girl] lived in the countryside ,” the guy explained. Thus, the possible adventures of the beloved were kept secret from Costa.

So, one day a girl called her boyfriend and delighted him with the news that she was pregnant. Immediately after the birth of the baby, the girl disappeared somewhere . She came back when the baby was about two months old.But after a while, she excused herself by saying she had to go shopping. She left that day and didn’t come back again.

The guy became a father: Kosta made the decision to take care of the child as his own.

Following the mother of the child’s disappearance, Costa made the decision to conduct a DNA test, which supported his presumptions. He is not David’s biological father, that much is true.Costa still chose to raise the child, though. At a very young age, David’s mother paid him several visits, but it was clear to Kostya that she had no desire to get her son back or even to assist in raising him.

David is now 25 years old. She and Kosta are still together. “He is my son in my heart. He is also my best friend, and I will do everything to take care of him ,” says Costa.

It turned out that David has a chronic disease

David had to be rushed to the hospital for treatment soon after meeting Kostya.Costa and his family were not aware of David’s health at the time.Later, he was found to have epilepsy, irreversible limb atrophy, and cerebral palsy.David cannot be left alone, needs continual monitoring, and is unable to communicate.

Costa’s mother, who is 72 years old, and taking care of David are not an easy chore. The expense of treatment is high.Additionally, David must constantly have a companion.Costa is concerned about who would look after his son once he passes away.He is now looking for David’s biological father and other family members in an effort to address this problem jointly.Costa, though, still has a great love for David and doesn’t want to give up on him.

“David is the love of my life. I’m not going to give him to anyone ,” Costa admitted.
