Alexey independently creates unique first-class projects. “Parquet with ceramic birds”, created for a beauty salon, is one of his works. He had dreamed of creating this masterpiece for many years. And finally, his dream came true.
The total area is 56 square meters. It took the decorator five months to complete the project, working seven days a week. The work began on October 22, 2020 and ended on March 22, 2021. And that’s not counting the time for preparing and drying the materials .
The decorator used dead wood and felled trees from the orchards. Friends also helped him in his search for material. In the end, he had about 40 bags of various pieces of wood.
The woods used were larch, oak, rowan, elm, ash, apple, birch, maple, Manchurian walnut, American black walnut, apricot, pear, cherry and a bit of mahogany.
Aleksey laid 10mm plywood on a flat concrete floor, then glued wooden blocks to it.
Once all the wooden part of the floor was ready, work began on the “birds”. For this, broken ceramic tiles were used.
Despite the fact that it was a long and very laborious process, “it gave me great pleasure, and I have never regretted having started it”, confides the decorator.
“I love my job and I’m really happy to be able to imagine and implement such projects on my own,” admits Alexey.
