Young father Samuel Forrest from New Zealand faced a tough choice. The woman gave him an ultimatum – either the man refuses the cub, or she leaves.
The wife of Samuel Forrest, gave birth to their first baby, Leo, on January 21 in a hospital. But hours after the baby was born, Samuel received an ultimatum to choose between the woman he loved and the son born with Down syndrome.
The woman refused to look at or even touch her son.
Samuel said he was stunned when the doctors told him of his son’s diagnosis, but the thought of abandoning him didn’t even cross his mind.
“They let me see him and I looked at this guy and said he was handsome…” As he carried Leo to meet his wife, she threatened to leave him even though he didn’t hold on than his son.
Samuel’s wife filed for divorce a week later.
Now Samuel is raising his child alone. He adores her and believes in her bright future. The little ones with Down syndrome are very sweet. Like all children, they have their own interests. Samuel assures that his son will be fine.
