The tests were intended for little Alba from birth. As soon as the young mother saw the newborn girl, she had no doubt that she did not need such a child.
Alba was born with Down syndrome and was orphaned.
Later, she had at least twenty potential parents, but in the end none of them decided to link life with a little “special”.
But two years ago, Alba, after all, acquired a family, albeit a little and not standard.
Luca Trapanese, 40, has neither family nor children, moreover, he is homosexual. In Italy, the adoption of children by incomplete families and families with a non-traditional orientation, as elsewhere, is a complex process.
But social services went to meet Luka and he took the 13-day-old child away.
He may have been helped by his many years of experience in a special care facility. This work taught him patience, empathy and the ability to communicate with sick people.
