According to Radar Online, the Mission: Impossible star contacted his ex-wife not out of nostalgia, but with a purpose: he allegedly wants her blessing before proposing to Ana.
Cruise and Kidman were married from 1990 until 2001 and adopted two children, Isabella and Connor, who were raised by Cruise under Scientology practices after the divorce.
One source noted:
