Meghan Markle’s upcoming Netflix show, “With Love, Meghan”, set to premiere in March, is stirring controversy after striking similarities were spotted between her series and Pamela Anderson’s “Cooking with Love”, which aired on Food Network Canada in October last year.
Viewers noticed not only the nearly identical titles but also matching concepts, aesthetics, and even trailer styles. Both shows feature the stars inviting guests into their homes to cook together. Anderson’s show was filmed at her Vancouver estate, while Meghan’s was shot at her Montecito mansion.
In Pamela’s teaser, she strolls through her garden in denim overalls, collecting fresh vegetables. “I love cooking. I’ve always wanted to take it to the next level,” Anderson shares. Meanwhile, Meghan is seen in a denim shirt, picking produce from her California garden, saying, “I’ve always loved taking something simple and making it extraordinary.”
Since Anderson’s show premiered three months earlier, many are calling Meghan’s version a blatant copy.
💬 “Meghan copied everything! The trailers are eerily similar,” one commenter wrote.
💬 “If you watch Pamela’s trailer, it feels way more authentic than Meghan’s attempt,” another added.
While some accuse Meghan of plagiarism, her defenders argue the similarities are purely coincidental, noting that lifestyle cooking shows often share overlapping themes.
Originally set for a January release, Meghan’s show was delayed until March 4 due to California’s devastating wildfires. Meanwhile, Pamela’s series concluded on February 24, featuring eight world-renowned chefs with a focus on culinary skills rather than the host’s personal life.
