There’s even talk that a meeting with the publisher took place. Meghan’s team and the publishing house allegedly discussed the book’s details, focusing on the aftermath of her break-up with Harry, rather than with her first husband, Trevor Engelson, whom she divorced in 2014. According to a source, it wouldn’t be a book about the general concept of divorce. Now that’s entrepreneurial spirit! The internet is shocked and wondering if Meghan is really capable of such a move.
Insiders say that during the meeting with the publisher, they were simply exploring the possibility of whether such a book could even exist if the divorce actually happens. Another source noted that if this is at all true, it would have been Meghan who reached out to the publisher, not the other way around.
According to Vanity Fair, the publisher has never made such an offer, as there’s no divorce and, therefore, no manuscript. It was previously reported that the Sussexes have a four-book deal with Penguin Random House. Meghan has only released a children’s book so far.
