Scott and Jackie Nelson were amazed to discover that Coconut, the horse, hailed from Melbourne, Florida.
Determined to capture her extraordinary beauty at just two days old and share it with the world, more than three million people have since marveled at how exceptional she truly is.
The couple, who breed horses and run a ranch called Down Under Colour, filmed Coconut’s first time outside when she was two years old.
According to a description on YouTube, Coconut boasts incredibly rare markings and is also referred to as a War Horse. In Native American culture, the War Horse was highly valued and often ridden by a chief or medicine man, both traditional spiritual leaders.
For a horse to be considered a War Horse, it must have a shield on its chest and one blue eye, which is surrounded by a liner. This blue eye, known as the Sky Eye in Indian mythology, is believed to carry the souls of the chief and medicine man to the gods if they perish in battle, which further explains her rarity.
