When Nyadak, better known as Duckie, was just 17, she won Australia’s Next Top Model competition. Despite this incredible achievement at such a young age, fame didn’t come immediately. Instead, Duckie became the target of harsh online bullying, with people criticizing her perfect proportions, unique skin tone, and natural hair.
In a 2016 interview Duckie revealed the toll this took on her: “It was really tough for me. I fell into depression because of the constant insults. I just couldn’t understand why people treated me that way.”
