Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster have confirmed their romance after the actor’s divorce from his wife, Deborra-Lee Furness, in September of last year after 27 years of marriage. Shortly after the split, rumors began circulating that the cause of the breakdown of one of Hollywood’s most enduring couples was the 49-year-old Broadway star, Sutton Foster. Although the actors remained tight-lipped about the situation, they have now confirmed their relationship. Hugh was first seen in public with his new love when they were heading to a dinner date at an upscale restaurant in Santa Monica, California.
Sutton looked elegant in a floor-length emerald dress paired with a double-breasted mustard-colored cashmere coat. She accessorized with a small handbag and black stilettos, keeping her makeup understated and her hair loose. Jackman, on the other hand, dressed casually in a gray sweatshirt, brown jacket, white jeans, and blue sneakers. The couple walked hand-in-hand, chatting and smiling, looking happy and in love. Hugh seemed unable to take his eyes off Sutton throughout their stroll.
The Oscar-nominated actor spent Christmas in his native Australia with his two adult children, whom he adopted and raised during his marriage to Deborra-Lee. Sutton couldn’t join him as she is currently performing in the play Once Upon a Mattress in Los Angeles. Last weekend, Hugh attended the production to support his girlfriend, although they did not pose together for photos.
