Meghan Markle, the former member of the British monarchy, became friends with renowned chef Adrian Lipscombe while working on a culinary show. According to Adrian, they often discussed their children and found common ground, as their daughters are around the same age. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are raising their 5-year-old son Archie and 3-year-old daughter Lilibet, while trying to shield them from the public eye.
Lipscombe shared that Meghan confided in him that Lilibet is going through a new phase and is “in her princess period.” The premiere of Meghan’s food and lifestyle show, With Love, Meghan, is set for January 15. The series consists of eight episodes, each lasting 33 minutes, and features Meghan preparing simple yet elegant dishes with her Hollywood friends.
It is already known that actress Abigail Spencer, who portrayed Dana Scott in the popular series Suits (in which Meghan starred before meeting Prince Harry), will appear in the project. Also featured is producer, actress, and comedian Mindy Kaling, who described it as “one of the most glamorous moments” of her life. However, Meghan faced criticism even before the show’s release.
Adrian Lipscombe defended Prince Harry’s fiancée. “How can you criticize or judge a TV show before it airs?” he said. “Meghan and Harry are two of the most down-to-earth people I’ve ever met. We talked about our families, mainly about our daughters going through their princess phase as they grow up, the movies kids love, and of course, food. Meghan wasn’t in a rush to end our conversation, even though I was taking up her time. She was kind, engaged, and sweet.”
Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor was born on June 4, 2021, at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital in California, after her parents stepped down from royal duties and moved to the U.S. with Archie. Lilibet’s first name is a family nickname that was given to her great-grandmother, the late Queen Elizabeth II, in her childhood. Her second name honors her late grandmother, Princess Diana Spencer. Archie and Lilibet were given the titles of prince and princess in 2023 following the coronation of their grandfather, King Charles III. Lilibet is seventh in line to the throne, following her father and older brother.
