Selena Gomez began earning money from a young age by acting in films and became a star during her teenage years. She starred in the Disney Channel series Wizards of Waverly Place, where she played the lead role. Selena admitted that it was during this time that she had her first kiss.
Gomez shared that she had to kiss actor Dylan Sprouse on camera. She explained that the day she gave her first kiss to her co-star was one of the worst moments for her because, at that time, she had a crush on Dylan’s twin brother, Cole.
“I was 11 or 12, and I had a guest role in The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, which starred Dylan and Cole Sprouse. It was with Dylan, and it was really funny because we were both so young. We were learning how to kiss. I had never done it before, and I was really scared,” Selena confessed. She also mentioned that before the kiss, she closed her eyes, which caused her lips to miss Dylan’s.
The 32-year-old actress noted that during her adolescence, she often had crushes on various celebrities. She named two artists she was particularly fond of: “Jesse McCartney—when Beautiful Soul came out, it changed my life. I loved Chad Michael Murray from One Tree Hill. I also fell in love in real life more often than with actors or musicians.”
In August of last year, the star got engaged to her fiancé, 35-year-old rapper Benny Blanco. The couple chose to announce their engagement only a few months later. This decision was made after the birth of a child in the family of Selena’s ex-boyfriend, musician Justin Bieber, sparked a lot of online discussions during the summer.
Selena and Justin dated from 2010 to 2018, breaking up and getting back together multiple times. After their final breakup, Justin married model Hailey Bieber. Earlier, Justin congratulated Selena on her engagement.
