Pop star Jennifer Lopez filed for divorce from actor Ben Affleck in August, on the second anniversary of their wedding. One of Hollywood’s most beautiful love stories ended almost as soon as it began. Ben and Jennifer went through all the emotional stages of a breakup, but in the end, they decided to remain on friendly terms, as they still share a lot.
The 55-year-old singer and 52-year-old actor met at the exclusive Soho House club. The former lovers spent time together during a holiday lunch, exchanging Christmas gifts.
Affleck chose a sentimental gift for Lopez with deep meaning. The director took Jennifer’s tastes and desires into account and bought her a book signed by Marlon Brando. This was revealed by the owner of Mystery Pier Books, Luis Jason.
“Ben gave Jennifer a book about Brando because she’s a huge fan of his. The other gifts were mostly for their children from previous partners,” said the source.
Lopez loved the actor’s thoughtful present. She thanked her ex for his kindness and attention. “It wasn’t anything extravagant; rather, it was a gesture for the holidays. Affleck and Lopez remain friends despite the ongoing divorce process.”
The actor and singer continue to interact with each other’s children, organizing family events and meals. Jennifer raises 16-year-old twins, Emme and Maximilian, from her third husband, Marc Anthony. Affleck is the father of three children from his marriage to Jennifer Garner: 19-year-old Violet, 16-year-old Seraphina, and 12-year-old Samuel.
Ben and Jennifer began dating in 2002 after working together on the film Gigli. The couple got engaged in November of that year but announced their split in January 2004. They reunited a few years ago, and this time their romance culminated in a lavish wedding in August 2022.
