I had always believed that our family life was perfect and full of happiness. I treated my wife with care and tenderness, and she, in turn, loved me deeply. We rarely argued in our four years of marriage, and I was sure that we had a true idyll.
However, one day I heard from others that my wife was allegedly seeing other men while I was away on business trips. At first, I didn’t want to believe it, but doubts started to gnaw at me. So, I decided to find out whether it was true or not.
I told her I would be back in two days, but I returned much earlier — the very next evening.
When I opened the door and entered the bedroom, I found her in bed with another man. To say I was shocked would be an understatement.
I silently grabbed my things and left. It was only then that I remembered the words my mother-in-law had said when we first met: “Poor boy, couldn’t find anyone better?”
A few months after the divorce, I met another woman. She was the complete opposite of my ex-wife — sincere, loving, and supportive in everything. We quickly got along, had a wedding, and became parents.
😢 One day, I was walking home through the park and noticed a homeless woman sitting on a bench. I wanted to help her somehow, but as I got closer, I recognized my ex-mother-in-law.
— What are you doing here? It’s so cold outside! — I asked, unsure of how to help her. 👇👇👇
— My daughter kicked me out of the house! After you left her, she went crazy and started drinking. I tried to protect her from this, but she threw me out.
I couldn’t help but feel overwhelming sympathy for her. I realized I couldn’t leave her on the street. I took her home with me. My new wife welcomed her with kindness, treating her like a third grandmother for our children.
It’s been three years now. My ex-mother-in-law lives with us. She helps my wife and takes care of our children.
