Ryan Reynolds Reacts After TV Legend Claims He’s Not As Funny Off-Screen 😲

Ryan Reynolds has hit back at Martha Stewart after the TV personality made a cheeky remark about him, calling him “not so funny” off-screen.

Ouch.

Imagine being roasted by the iconic lifestyle guru, who’s been a staple on American TV for decades.

But as expected, Reynolds took it all in stride.

The comment came during Stewart’s appearance on the *Bilt Rewards* November Rent Free game show, where she was asked which celebrity she thought was the most fun to hang out with. Naturally, Reynolds seemed like a likely candidate for the list.

While she guessed Snoop Dogg correctly (a close friend of hers), she was surprised to see Reynolds also made the cut.

That’s when Stewart remarked, “He’s probably on the list just ‘cause he covers himself up in his movies and you don’t see his face. And you want to know something? He’s not so funny in real life. No, he’s not so funny. He’s very serious.”

She then added, “I’d take Ryan off [the list], and I would put in somebody else.”

Ouch again—that’s some serious shade.

Reynolds didn’t miss a beat when he caught wind of Stewart’s comment. He responded on X (formerly Twitter) with his trademark wit, writing, “I’d disagree with her. But I tried that once. The woman is unexpectedly spry. She really closed the gap after a mile or so.”

The internet loved his clever comeback, with fans commenting on the unexpected “beef” between the two.

One user joked, “I know it’s been a wild year, but I did not have a ‘get off my lawn’ level feud between Ryan Reynolds & Martha Stewart on my 2024 bingo card.”

Another added, “Nicest way to say ‘the old woman was surprisingly sharp. Good for her.’”

And someone else quipped, “She’s been to prison, so don’t mess with her. She’ll shank you in the laundry room while baking a cake.” (For the record, Stewart did serve a five-month sentence at the Alderson Federal Prison Camp in 2004 for insider trading charges.)

When Stewart was asked who she’d have swapped Reynolds out for, she named George Clooney, saying, “George is really nice to hang out with.” She added that while Reynolds is “a good actor,” he “can act funny, but he isn’t funny. Maybe he can get to be funny again.”

Laughing, she added, “I’m going to get in trouble. He’s my neighbor.”
