The 51-year-old hitmaker of “Without Me” announced that he will soon become a grandfather. His 28-year-old daughter, Hailie Jade Scott, is expecting her first child with her partner, Evan McClintock. The couple got married in May.
Eminem shared a touching clip set to his song “Temporary.” In the video, the artist, whose real name is Marshall Bruce Mathers III, entered the room on his daughter’s wedding day and saw her in a white dress with a sheer veil. He approached her, removed his sunglasses, and embraced her tenderly.
Hailie smiled and chatted with her father. At one point, Eminem paused and covered his mouth with his hand, choking up as he looked at his daughter. Moments later, he stepped forward, they embraced, and the proud father then walked Hailie down the aisle.
In the room, Hailie also handed her father a gift bag. He pulled out a card written by her. The rapper, known for his hit “Lose Yourself,” began reading the card with a smile before they hugged again. Eminem also showed footage of him and Hailie dancing together during the wedding reception surrounded by guests outdoors.
Throughout the video, snippets from Hailie’s life over the years played. Toward the end, the rapper shared an emotional moment when Hailie revealed her pregnancy. While sitting on the terrace, she handed him a blue shirt, which he lifted to show that it had “Grandpa” written in white letters along with the number one on the back. Eminem was stunned when Hailie handed him the ultrasound, which he showed to the camera.
Fans were deeply moved by the clip.
