Notably, she sported an engagement ring with diamonds presented to her by her fiancé, 36-year-old rapper and producer Benny Blanco. During the ceremony, Selena introduced her series “Only Murders in the Building,” taking the stage with her co-stars Steve Martin and Martin Short. 74-year-old Martin made a witty remark about his colleague: “Steve, let me just say what an honor it is to work with someone who looks like they fell and can’t get up,” joked Short. “Let me just say what an honor it is to work with someone who looks like a former women’s tennis champion,” Martin, 79, countered. “Let me say what an honor it is to work with two guys who are so far from being childless cat ladies,” Selena chimed in. However, this topic is sensitive for the actress and singer, as she recently revealed that due to health reasons, she cannot carry and give birth to a child.
The annual Primetime Emmy Awards honor the best in television in California. The statuette for Best Directing in a Comedy Series went to the creators of “The Bear.” Liza Colon-Zayas was recognized as Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for this project, while Ebon Moss-Bachrach was named Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series, and Jeremy Allen White won for Best Actor in a Comedy Series.
The best limited series was “The Deer,” which also took home the award for Best Writing, with actor Richard Gadd winning Best Actor in a Limited Series and Jessica Gunning being named Best Supporting Actress in a Limited Series. Elizabeth Debicki won Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for “The Crown,” while Jean Smart took home the award for Best Actress in a Comedy Series for “Hacks.” The award for Best Reality Show went to “The Traitors.”
