Benji Gregory, who played Brian Tanner in 110 episodes of the sitcom “ALF,” passed away in June. His body and that of his dog, Hans, were found in a car in an Arizona parking lot. At the time, his sister revealed that he had several serious health conditions.
The actor struggled with bipolar disorder, suffered from depression, and experienced severe sleep disturbances. Rebecca Herzberg-Pfaffinger shared that her brother had gone to the bank that day and speculated that he might have fallen asleep in the car.
Rebecca believed that heatstroke might have been the cause of her brother’s and his pet’s deaths, as Arizona was experiencing an unusual heatwave at that time. It has now been confirmed that her suspicions were correct.
The Maricopa County Medical Examiner determined that Gregory died from heat exposure compounded by liver cirrhosis. His death was ruled an accident.
