In the Netflix documentary about the Beckham family, Victoria first spoke about her husband’s infidelity. Now, his former mistress Rebecca Loos has shared her perspective on the situation. Rebecca admitted that she still feels the stigma of being “the girl who claimed an affair with Beckham.” She revealed that her four-month relationship with David was not the best decision of her life, but it’s too late to change anything.
“I know some people will always think I’m a terrible person. Sometimes you make decisions that, looking back, you would change. But I can’t change anything, so I just deal with it,”* said the former footballer’s assistant.
She explained that the relationship actually started on Beckham’s initiative. He felt lonely because Victoria and their sons were in the UK while he was living in Madrid due to work. During that period, he grew close to Rebecca. They had many common interests, so they spent a lot of time together.
Later, their affair became public knowledge, and Rebecca was labeled a “homewrecker.” She was criticized in the press, on television, on the street, and in various establishments she visited. This led to depression for the woman. She still doesn’t understand why everyone targeted her and not David, who chose to cheat.
“He was married. He seduced me. He was the one who broke promises and behaved badly, but I was the one who was vilified,”concluded Loos.
