High-quality overhaul with demolition of old walls, replacement of all communications and electrical systems.
Designer converted a cluttered two-room apartment into a modern investment apartment in retro style. To achieve this goal, all the partitions had to be demolished and rebuilt. As a result, it was possible to enlarge the bathroom and place it on 43 square meters. m kitchen-living room, separate bedroom, hallway and two dressing rooms.
Apartment before renovation
It was a very cluttered apartment. A cramped kitchen with a “tired” renovation, dull rooms with five layers of wallpaper on which messages from the previous owners remained, a small bathroom, a completely non-functional corridor. The kitchen was already fenced off from the hallway, and the entrance to it was moved from the living room and decorated with an arch. The balcony was used as a storage room, where a wide variety of things were left for storage.
Kitchen after renovation
The kitchen area is small, but it is filled with everything you need: a built-in dishwasher, an oven, a two-burner hob and a refrigerator. The set was placed at an angle. This is a standard set with plenty of storage space. The laminated chipboard tabletop was ordered separately.
The window sills were made of solid wood and varnished. Wood is a living and warm material; it makes the window look completely different. The window slopes were painted with washable paint in a contrasting bright shade, which became an accent color throughout the apartment.
A dining area was installed between the kitchen and living room. It consists of a round table and two soft chairs. Visually this area was highlighted with the help of a retro-style pendant lamp.
Living room after renovation
The living room area has become smaller, as part of the space was borrowed for a dressing room. The walls were covered with paintable wallpaper and painted in a light shade – this makes the room seem visually larger.
Bedroom after renovation
Bedroom area 11 sq. m. To accommodate a full-fledged sleeping place, the wall opposite the bed was moved slightly towards the living room. A canvas with a geometric pattern was hung on it, behind which there were sockets for the TV.
The bedroom has a second dressing room with an area of 3.9 sq. m. m. The concern about filling it, as in the first dressing room, was left to the future buyer.
Hallway after renovation
Due to the increase in the bathroom, the hallway area became smaller. There is a large arched mirror, a bright pouf that matches the color of the dining chairs, and a hanging cabinet where you can put your bag and keys. The beautiful panel echoes the panel in the living room. Counters and sockets for the router were hidden behind the louvered door.
Opposite the hallway there is a spacious dressing room. It was not filled with storage systems so that future owners could arrange the space to suit their needs.
Balcony after renovation
The old glazing was left. In terms of finishing, we covered the walls and ceiling with clapboard and installed overhead lighting. Decking was placed on the floor; this material is not afraid of moisture and is resistant to temperature changes.
Bathroom after renovation
The bathroom was rebuilt. Some of the walls were covered with white tiles with contrasting grout, some were painted with moisture-resistant paint of the same shade as on the window slopes. On the floor there are tiles with a beautiful print, which “collected” all the colors used in this space.
The bathtub was replaced and an installation was made behind the toilet. Black sanitary ware, mirror frame and heated towel rail act as graphic accents. During the redevelopment, a niche was created in which a washing machine was placed for now. In the future, you can place a boiler, dryer or storage systems here.
